1-20 grams of dry sediment was introduced with 100 ml of water. The contents were continuously mixed using a magnetic stirrer.
2- 45 grams of dry sediment was introduced with 200 ml of water. The contents were continuously mixed using a magnetic stirrer
3, 4-20 grams (on dry basis) of wet sediment was introduced with 200 ml of water. The reactor was pressurized to 100 psi. The reactor volume is 1500 ml when empty. The contents in the reactor were agitated at 35 rpm.
