UNH Stormwater Center 2006 Workshops
The CICEET-sponsored University of New Hampshire Stormwater Center has announced a new schedule of stormwater technology demonstration workshops for 2006. These workshops will take place at the Center's unique field facility, where researchers evaluate the effectiveness of different stormwater treatment systems in a side-by-side setting, under strictly controlled conditions. It is the only test bed of its kind in the nation. This conglomeration of stormwater treatments make the field site an ideal setting for stormwater technology demonstrations. Last year, 15 workshops drew more than 500 participants from around the Northeast.
The 2006 workshops will consist of a tour of the facility, followed by a working lunch and discussion at a UNH classroom. They will explore the performance, cost, suitability, operations, and maintenance issues associated with different stormwater treatment systems. They are open to elected officials, appointed officials, town administrators, engineers, land planners, landscape architects, and natural resource managers-anyone required to develop stormwater programs in compliance with Phase II of the Clean Water Act.
Workshops will be offered on the following dates:
April 13
April 27
May 9
May 18
June 8
June 20
September 12
September 21
October 10
