CICEET concludes all operations

The Cooperative Institute for Coastal and Estuarine Environmental Technology (CICEET) program has not had its funding renewed, and has concluded all operations as of the end of 2012. No additional requests for proposals (RFP) will be issued, and all funded projects have been finalized.

There is no staff dedicated to providing information about CICEET projects, however web pages are still available. To follow up on any research, or for any other questions, please refer to the searchable online database Project Explorer, or contact project investigators directly. Please do not contact former CICEET staff.

Since its inception in 1997, CICEET has invested in more than 170 environmental technology development, demonstration, and application projects. The resulting CICEET toolkit contains dozens of field ready tools to address a range of environmental challenges along the nation’s coasts.

We wish to thank everyone who has been a part of the CICEET program, especially those coastal scientists and resource managers around the country who have worked to develop, apply, and use the tools to detect, prevent, and reverse the impacts of coastal pollution and habitat degradation on coastal ecosystems and communities.
